As a child, I remember drawing and coloring on walls, once even painting the family furniture with exterior paint. My passion for scribbling was only distracted by my first video console gaming system, a ColecoVision, and my very first game, 'Smurf Rescue in Gargamel's Castle'.
It was at this early age my curiosity at the possibilities of fusing art with digital technology was born.
As a self taught designer, I began my career in design as an intern, eventually becoming an Art Director at a medium sized law firm in Indiana. I was partially responsible for creating a new method for negotiating legal cases that combined legal writing with visual imagery. This new method helped set new records in settlement time for cases.
The law firm closed in 1999 and I moved to Jacksonville, Florida where I became the primary web designer at Florida Coastal School of Law. I moved back to Indiana in 2004, taking a position with Patriot Homes based in Elkhart, Indiana where I was the primary web designer and developer and also designed models and renders of manufactured homes.
In 2006, I took a position with Descom Design in Indianapolis, Indiana, a small development firm driven by user standards design. It was at Descom that I learned the web is a place full of junk with very few designers and firms building websites seeking to meet business goals and make the experience simple and pleasant for the end user.
In January of 2007, I decided to trade in the long commute for a relaxed dress code and a flexible schedule.
Some of my most recent and current clients include TTE Corporation (RCA TV), Universal Music Group, Geffen Records, ADESA, Community Health Network, Indianapolis Children's Museum, Intelliracks Hosting and the rock band LIVE.
